I am curious what my gear ratio is on my truck. I have a 1995 chevy Silverado 6lug 3/4 4x4. Just thought somebody might no. I think there is a certain code to look for in the glove box but I have no idea what to look for. If it helps I run at about 2100 rpm at 100km/h with stock 16in tires.

if you suspect the axle might not be original a simple thing to do is jack up one back tire, make a mark on the driveline, then rotate the tire one revolution and count the number of times the driveline turns. If it goes 4 plus a little in rotation then it's 4.10's. Not quite 4 would be 3.73. It's most likely one of those ratios.

Mine is a 1995 K2500 LD (6-lugs) and got the 3.42 gears.

RPO GU4 -> 3.08 (only 2WD)
RPO GU6 -> 3.42
RPO GT4 -> 3.73
RPO GT5 -> 4.10
