Someone was saying there wasn't enough ATT video's so I decided to upload some. Because I had that kind of free time yesterday, and because any excuse to drive my truck and make videos is worth it. So here ya go.

The first one is a 0-80mph run with max fueling. Don't mind the shaky camera, it was an oil field road that was paved but it may as well have been dirt.

The second is a 0-60mph-ish run at only 1/4 turn on the pump. (you can really tell the difference)

The third is the sound at max fueling now with the ATT and QSV. Enjoy

Nice! I like how it sounds. Seems like the maxed pump makes a big difference after about 50 or so.

Yeah, it did. It made a difference in the low gears but not quite as noticeable since in either case the 4.10's dont put it under much load in 2nd and 3rd. I am going to try to swap to the smaller housing soon. I may risk over-boosting but I am going to shoot for torque now.

ATT with a BD spool valve on 1995 6.2 K2500 burb.

It is 108 degrees out, the AC is on, and the cooling fan is running. :firedevil: I know the 1995 is hotter than a wet pistol. Also the underhood air intake is not helping EGT and ECT.

The Sound is NOT from 1st gear in the transmission it is the turbo winding up. Rest of the sound more or less sucks as the camera mic can't take it.

Shot from mirror with windows down.

Cruising boost at 65MPH.

Doesn't seem very responsive. Even mine with the manual seemed a lot more responsive as far as boost goes

Yeah I was gonna say looks kinda sluggish. What are you running for injectors?

It was worse before the BD valve...

It is 108 degrees out with a ~25HP ac compressor running and ~5HP cooling fan running... 3.73 rear end. This is where the small precups don't do well. Even my 1993 is somewhat sluggish with the heat and AC loads. Also has a kitty on it.

Injectors are a local stanadyne shop rebuild. This engine has been sluggish and smoky since day 1.

Used to have 2PSI of boost building fast after 2K rpm. I am now passing 2K with 10 PSI of boost and holds around 17 quickly after that.

Here's a vid. I said 0-60 but I just kept goin till I ran out of road lol. Just got it back Friday with 31.5's and I turned the t-bars all the way down. Rides pretty good. My 18yr old cousin has a 2006 rcsb 2wd with a 5.3 pacesetter longtubes, cold air, and a tune and I smoked his ass on a 4-lane yesterday, that is until I got to I'm guessing 105-110 then I ran out of gears and hit the Rev limiter and he carried on with his gas geared 4l60e and 3.42's. I pulled a good 2 lengths on him from a 20 roll though, he was impressed. He said he raced a charger r/t 3.5l v6 and was neck and neck until he hit 4th and then the car left him. I'm not saying it's a race truck or anything, but it is a 6.5 after all.

Can someone tell me about precups and what a kitty is?
Precups are the precombustion chambers in the head that makes an indirect injected engine. You want to learn about these before you get into a rebuild so you can verify what you have vs what you need for how you build the engine. Just search precups and precombustion chamber here and you get a lot of info.

A kitty is the catalytic converter, looks like a muffler designed to deal with unwanted emissions output @ the expense of power and fuel efficency by restricting flow.

Ah, kitty = cat = catalytic. Makes sense. I worked at a garage for a year and a half and never heard it called that.

So how do precups affect performance? And why do some hurt and others help?
