While I have my Motor out I am going to change the water pump so I don't have to do it later in the Truck.
My question is... Can I just Order a pump from a 1997 Truck or will it be different and not work with my single thermostat system? Or do I have to find a high volume pump for the 1995?

Thanks

I put the H/O 1997 W/pump in my 1995 sub. That was back in August. No problems so far. Runs right at temp with the oem ac delco thermostat.

They are interchangeable. The 99.5-2000 year pump will mount up too, but it uses a different thread on fan clutch. The 2000 year pump is supposed to offer the greatest flow balance of any option.

I use the 97 HO water pumps on all of mine. Rockauto has a great price on a NEW gates 97HO for around $47 last I bought.

X2......but for economy, barry's suggestion sounds like the best route.....That said if $ is no problem than the 2000+ WP (P/N#) is in here somewhere) is the way to go, with new fan clutch and new fan, 20" steel or 21" composite (D-Max).......JMO
