We are taking a little trip from Spartanburg,SC to Moline,IL for Thanksgiving this year, the better half is from there.....

I would like to see if anyone in the Moline,IL area has a Snap on MT1480 that could help me check and set my timing on the new motor.

We will be there until that Sunday then heading back to SC, if anyone can help PM me and we will see if we can meet up for a visit......

And if anyone lives in the area and you don't have the timing tool, maybe we could meet anyway for a coffee.....

This isn't worthy of the "Oil Can" but would like to meet anyone in the area if we have time....

You are welcome to take the TTS Oil Can with you...Bill(orrum) has it right now.then maybe it could be passed on to someone who can get some more signatures...I'd like to see it moving again.

Check with Darkrider (Mark) he's within shooting range and I'm about 2 hrs East of the quad cities along with a few other guys from my area. Might have the Sat after Thanksgiving (mid day) available for lunch or a coffee out there.
Edit: Had my head on crooked. Mark is Ghostrider500

I'm a good ways from Bill to be able to go and get the can but if he wants to send it that will be fine then I could leave it with someone in the mid US....

And Mike that might work out, I will get a phone # from you later and see if we can meet up....

If I don't go to southern IL to see the kid, I would be game.

It's 3 1/2 hours for me, but I'm always interested in a GTG. I'll check and see what the plans are for travel and send a PM with contact info, if I can make it.

John

Maybe if there are several of us, we can pic a spot in the middle of everyone. The Saturday after Thanksgiving will be the day for planning purposes, I won't know for sure until we see what the better half has going on, she hasn't seen her kids & grandkids in 18mos.... so we will see....

don't you have to pick up/purchase something from Bill?

or have you done that already?

I never could get Bill to answer my calls so I found a topper local so I haven't been in touch with him.... I would pay for the shipping if someone can get in touch and have him send it to me....

UPDATE----

I talked to Bill today, the can will be sent to me so I will have it with me. We will find somewhere to meet that is good for everyone maybe and take some pics and bench race for a while......

Looks like that Saturday might be best for most so that will work for me...

I will PM everyone next week with phone # so we can make plans.... Looking forward to it !!!!

Maybe over my way then. Will stew on it and see. I heard from a couple of maybes. Keep the date gents. Jeff (Savoie) countin' on you making this one.:agreed:

Wow,the Moline tri-cities area is where I bought my '99 from and drove it back to CA with my son assisting with the driving, 28 hours straight.

We can meet in Sandwich at my place between 10:00 & 11:00, hang out in the shop, chew the fat, sign the can, tell lies and head over to town and get some lunch around 11:30-Noon.

OR

We could meet at the truck stop either at I80 and Rt47 at Morris or the one at I88 & I39 at Rochelle. I'll let you all call it since I'm good either way. There aren't any 4 lane highways to Sandwich so travelling convenience is an issue...
I'll get PMs out to everyone to get up to date in this thread in the next couple of days.

Man I sure wish I was living down in Plano I would meet up with ya'll... Who's gonna do the "Big Ethel" challenge if you guys end up going to Romine's? lol
