My dad has a '95 c k 2500 Suburban that he is putting a 6.5 liter turbo diesel into. He is having trouble with the vacuums and the turbo actuator controls. He asked me to look on line to see if I could find something to help him with the wiring and I have spent days and can't find anything anywhere. I am at a loss here. Can anyone help me?

Pretty straight forward, F engine (8th VIN digit/no EGR) has vac pump plastic/nylon line to solenoid from vac pump, check there for leaks also 15+ "Hg minimum fron the vac pump. Solenoid is pulse actuated, normally closed and applying vac to the wg actuator keeping the WG closed so should have power all times to the plug at idle. It denergizes to open wg lowering drive engery to turbo/lower boost when PCM thinks it is too high.

Normal fail is bad solenoid, bad nylon lines, or bad vac pump, depending on finances most when faced with that situation upgrade to a TM boost control www.heathdiesel.com which eliminates that issue from ever occurring again, and gives better boosting than the vac system does

As far as diagram goes, here is a description:

Vacuum Pump goes to Wastegate Solenoid goes to Turbo. The line is usually vacuum hose. The vacuum pump is usually on the passenger side below AC Compressor, the Wastegate Solenoid is on the driver side of the manifold looks like a small box with electrical connector on one side and the vacuum hose on the other side, and Turbo is easy to find.

TD describes how it works very well, he is one of the master here.
