Anyone have one of these? Pretty slick idea

My friend has one in each truck. He just introduced me to them, they are awesome. One important thing to note, they only fit in the cigarette lighter hole. The cigarette lighter hole has the necessary tabs that grip it and complete the circuit, the accessory port (at least in my truck) does not have the tabs, the light is loose in it and the circuit is not completed.

I will probably be over dinking around in his garage this weekend, I'll try to snap some pics of how much they light up one of our trucks. I'd say they're pretty decent.

I don't like the light that leds throw off. Let me rephrase that, I don't like the light that leds throw off for a flashlight. Leds are quite useful and work great in many applications. But not for a good work light. Something like this, I guess I can see. But not my everyday flashlight. That's a streamlight stinger, the aluminium body, with a xenon lamp I believe.

But for something like this they work great because leds don't use a lot of power. This is just a little accessory light that could come in handy once in a while. Never have to put batteries into it.

Yup, I'd buy it for $5 for a spare light that I could grab if I didn't have my streamlight on hand. Not sure if I would for $20. I bought a $20 light that I believe takes two of those 123 batteries. It's almost as bright as my streamlight, but the batts die quick and they are $10 to replace. That's the reason that I bought the streamlight, and also the reason that this might be handy.
