hey guys,

i am sitting at chevy dealership, anyone have a pic from a 65 starter WITH starter bracket installed real quick ???

They had done my starter when the nose cone broke off mid of last year and I am suspecting that they did not do the bracket since it is a PITA I hear.
Can someone show me a pic of how it needs to look ?

thanks

PS: Can it be that the new starter they installed does not require the bracket anymore due to "design changes" ?

Confirmed no redesigned.

The dealership changed my Dad's burb last year. They were cursing about it since it was so difficult to take out and to put back on.

If the picture is not here, I know there is one in the DP forum.

Better than a broken block. Not that big of a pia. Long extensions and a u-joint.

Pull the inner fender and you won't have a problem getting to it. You can also do maintenance like ground cleaning and glow plug replacement while you have the fender out.
