anyone have a 96+ engine core?

I posted in classified but thought i'd get a little exposure here....Mods cut me a little slack for a day or two, please.

Need Alt. Bracket for 96+ ONLY

Really need the bracket that bolts to the engine and holds the alt. and vacum pump......another member shipped me one and it is wrong (probably from a 95 and down, the alt. is on the left, 96+ the alt is on the right).....Truck is apart, in my friends shop (killing him)

If anyone has this oddball item please PM me and give me a price + overnight shipping.

A 7.4L [454] gasser may be the same bracket. In earlier years they used the same brackets as a 6.5. I may have one but I work untill midnight. Could possibly get shipped tomorrow. When I get home I will check and send a pm if someone else doesn't come up with one beforehand.

You would be a hero.....anxiously awaiting your response....I have a 88 C3500 w/a 454 in the yard, they don't look the same, are you sure bout that?

I believe 88 was the first year that body style....Are you talking about the square body 87 and down?

The 96+454 may use the same as 6.5. I junked a 97 w/454. the drivers side looked the same. Not shure about the passenger side. I did junk a 97 w/6.5 also for the engine to put in my 97. So I should have the brackets. I won't say positivly untill I have them in my hand, but pretty shure. Did you try car-part.com to try to find one more local?

I checked Hollander/Eden, this is the old Teletype service all the yards used, back in the old days....The link is their web version, open to the public, still very good.

Save that link....All the yards post their inventory here, like car-part, but more of a yard to yard type service.

Sorry to bother you...but do you happen to know what the casting number would be for the gasser version bracket you sent to Brooklyn Tow??? AM General ran out of their bracket and I need one to finish my project...help?

I went to ebay and typed in: 454 brackets - and there were quite a few that popped up. Check 'em out.

Yea, that was the first thing I did. Many I close...but how do I know which to choose???? That's why I requested some numbers to work with.
I tried working with the AMG number and going backwards but went nowhere.
