I've been experiencing some issues with my locking differential not working proberly fo a while. Yesterday when i went to change the fluid i found out why. I pulled the drain plug out and this is what i found stuck to the magnet.:doh:

So I take the cover off and this is what i find. The teeth missing off the cam gear and Governor.

It should look more like this, but without the gaps:doh:

This is more of just an inconvenience that anything else, cause I'm really not looking forward to having to tear apart my differential. The worst part is, I just replace the rear u-joint about 5 min before I decided to change the oil in the differential.

I'm gonna kick "Murphy's" a**!:mad::pound:

So much for doin donuts to finish off my tires before I put the Nittos on:doh:

Man, I need to check my fluild. I don't want to be next. I have the shipment from Aston, just got to get it done.

Now on topic..:

What do you think is the cause Noah? I don't suspect you beat on your truck? I've had my share of burnouts.. My diff has never felt right IMO...especially on ice/slick conditions..

they always feel goofy right from the factory, if you spin too quickly it locks up really hard.

Actually, I'm not exactly sure. See it has never worked the greatest in the world since I bought it, but I may have been the cause from the beginning. I know the previous owner and doubt very seriously that he ever spun the tires (even by accident). I never coulld get it to do a good donut:doh: It would always get part way around then unlock and thats probably why.

Im having the same problem!!! crap, im scared to pull my cover off now. I tried to do a single donut in a huge wet parking lot the other day and couldnt at all. just one-wheel-peel, and thats not cool.

If mine looks like i hope its covered under warranty!

If you have a good dealer you shouldn't have any problems.:beer:
