the guy stop, parked his truck on the side of the lane and key off.
He talked with his friend during less than 1/2 hour, said goodbye
came back to his truck.

WTS, key on, and ... nada. Not a puff of smoke, not even a hiccup, just the starter spinning, engine spinning too, but nothing

After he killed his batteries, he finally get towed home, luckely less a kilometer far.

Found a good battery and bought a new one, asked his friend with another K1500 to have batteries hooked in parallel, and while the other truck was reving up to 1500 rpms, they tried to start the beast.
Starter spinning strong, but still nothing.

They called me. I did usual test :
LP is good, plenty of fuel at the T-valve, no air flooding at the fuel filter valve.
All fuses OK
Fuel solenoid is clicking, cracked an injector while crancking, get fuel at injectors.
Tested the glow plugs : all good, glow plug relay is fine too.
PMD is less a year, a D-Tech, relocated in front of radiator, behind the grille.

I hooked my laptop with AutoEnginuity soft. No codes !

PMD did quit suddenly ?
As there's no codes, could it be the CPS or optic sensor though ?

What year is this truck? If PMD was bad wouldnt get fuel at injectors, but if there is fuel and there is heat it should start and at least smoke. The CPS or OS would code with even just cranking if either was bad.

When you say nothing happens, explain how it cranks when you crank it. Does it crank fast and easy, no sputtering. Does it feel like its going to fire up but doesnt.

If it has no sputtering, no sign of starting and no smoke then must not be getting enough fuel and could be PMD or extension cable. I assume you tried unplugging things and plugging back in. Sometimes that does it.

If you get WTS and SES light with ignition would assume PCM and ignition are fine.

This recent thread has tests you can do

Yup, by nothing I mean : when crancking, the engine spins, no sputtering, not even doing like if she wants to fire but doesn't...

Really I have no idea...

Today they will try again with Optima batteries and another truck in parallel. will see.

if you dont get sputter or smoke, there must not really be fuel. maybe you pissed out what was in the lines, but the fuel solenoid in the IP must not be opening the valve to allow more fuel to be injected.

or just spray a little diesel out of a squirt bottle. like a WD40 bottle or a sprayer.
I'd disconnect the batteries charge them, reconnect and start over.

After that I'd run about a half gallon of fuel out the drain and see what it looks like. Let it sit in a clear jug for 20 minutes or so and look for water.

Check the oil.

Are you checking for fuel at the injector with the line cracked and the engine cranking? You should be getting so much fuel leaking that there should be no doubt as to whether or not your IP is working.

Did you check for voltage at the glow plugs? And continuity through the glow plugs?
