Alternator Upgrade help?

Hi All,

I have a 1996 Chevrolet Beretta Z26 with 3100 SFI v6 AUTO FWD.
It is stock with the CS130 alternator @ 105 Amps.

I have been reading around and found that some people say they have went from the CS130 to the CS144 alternator for the 3100 v6 engine and at most they had to enlarge a few holes.
Is this true?

Aside from a bit of filing in a few places, would it be a direct swap?

I'm asking here because I found several threads of alternator upgrades and would like to see if anyone knows if this would work for me.

I need to do this because my 105 Amp output is not enough for my audio system and lighting. In front driving andd headlamps alone I'm running 400 watts, thats not counting parking lights, decorative lights, etc...
And the audio system with: 600 watts RMS amp for 2x12" subs and I have a 4 channel amp running 50 Watts RMP per channel.

With my engine revving at 2500 RPM I'm barley getting 12 volts and my battery is still getting drained. The drains worse at idle...
Oh, I also had my A/C running (Engine fan was on, and interior fan was on full)
(I checked that my alternator was not bad as I always have a spare alternator laying around for my cars, I swapped out the existing one with a known good one CS130 stock replacement, same outcome, my modds take up too much power...)

Thanks for the insight and help.

CS144 Alternator that I found to go in place of my CS130, this should work right?

Verified that it is a CS144 and also shows other vehicles that it fits:

I'm trying to find as close as possible GM direct replacement instead of buying a modified high power alternator that directly fits the CS130 brackets because a modified CS130 from a professional company is about 350-400 dollars, and I'm looking for more like 150 dollar price range, give or take some...
