About 4 years ago I replaced the sending unit on my 95 k1500. It ran for about 45 miles then quit and would not start back. Not getting fuel to the filter canister. I want to try and get it running again. Is there anything I need to be aware of due to it sitting for so long. I know I'll have to drop the tank and clean it out again. My main concern is the engine

Oil and such should be changed, could have collected moisture.....

Get a new Lift pump, the old one will be shot...

What sending unit did you replace???

After cleaning the tank, change the fuel filter & prime....

Good luck...

Thanks guys. Plan on changing the oil, new fuel filter and such normal maintenance. Just wondering if I should be aware of anything else

If that is the "Fuel" Sending Unit, most will NOT come with the correct Diesel tank sock.
That will clog fairly bad after sometimes.
