There is the larger round grill then that smaller grill above.

Wondering if anyone has added speakers to these grills and if so what a good speaker would be.
Dimensions too please.
Long as I’m waiting for Triumph parts I can be working on improving the sound system too.
I would love to be able to find one of these double DIN with double screens for this truck too.

Everywhere is listed NLA. 🥺
Press the power button and the screens unfold. Has CD/DVD too.

I can't find the details but they were 6.5" 2 way speakers I installed. I had bought a set of 4 kickers but if you want the best I recommend Rockford Fosgate 6.5". I believe I had to remove the metal mesh (can't remember that part) but I do recall I had to cut the plastic behind the speaker mesh in the door panel and attach them to the inside of the panel.

if you venture out to the JY and look for a tahoe or burb, you can pull the inner plastic box that they are supposed to mount to.

my truck originally had those 4" oval speakers mounted up in the rear cab pillars behind the rear seat. I hated those things because a rear passenger had them up right in the ears! I think I remember reaching up in there and snipping the wires, pulling them back and out where I could fish them into the doors. there was plenty of wire to run into the doors and didn't need to add any. but I can't recall all the details, there's been a lot of bridge under the water since then LOL

I thought this would be a good day to work outside on pulling the door panels, poking through wires and installing speakers:
Just a might tit bit nippilly out there so messed some with the Triumph.
Get the Triumph together and removed from the shed then I’ll plug away on a nicer sound system.
Maybe one of those double screen DIN units might come a ailable too. Then poke one of them in the radio hole too.
Probably just get one of them 10.? Inch units and see if soundstream or someone starts producing them double screen units again.

Nice looking unit here the only downside for me is not having apple carplay or android auto. I prefer the apple carplay for using my phone's navigation, no need to upload / update maps on a standalone gps unit, also shows traffic conditions. many times it's warned me of slowdowns and wrecks ahead allowing me to get off the freeway before getting stuck in traffic.

mounting into our dashes I think for the top screen to not contact the dash, the stereo would have to be mounted in such a way it would pertude some from the dash to allow clearance.

The systems with the 10” screen, the screen hangs out a ways from the mounted unit and it can pivot and swivel so I think the over hang of the dash would not be problem.
I do want to have this mod accomplished before June 19th when I take off for Ohio.
