J/K or JK - Just Kidding - Important to use when inserting humor, as sometimes people get pretty upset because they don't see that you're using satire or irony or just telling a bad joke.

-Rob :)

HP= High pressure- Horsepower :)

It must be a busy day at the yard Tim.

I'll ammend it to include tha but in turbine world and common rail Diesel HP is indeed both meanings I guess we could ammend our reference to proper terminology as SHP or BHP shaft or brake horsepower, then throw in FWHP for flywheel power or RWHP for rear wheel power

I hate to nit pick. but IMHO, you repeated yourself. Shouldn't in be 'in my humble opinion' for the second one? I"'m sure there will be a few more to add.

well I did borrow some from my old post from the other site I'll purge the repeaters later or IMHO (honest) or (humble) are interchangeable IMHO though :D and could be used as separate acronyms that are synonymns

TSM = Timing stepper motor. tsm advances the optical on the cam ring.

TTY = Torque to yield, torque procedure where a fastener is run down to a torque value and once that is met then final torque would be represented say 45'ft +90 deg. so run down til torque wrench bottoms at 45, then final tun fastener 90 degrees more, or sometimes you bott then back off X degrees, 6.2/6.5 head bolts are most often discussed as TTY bolts.

Turbo=short for turbo charger, exhaust driven compressor feeds force air to the engine giving it more grunt, GM turbos GM-3, GM-4, GM-5, GM-8 are common models, sometimes listed as GM-X with X replacing the final variable designator for the GM turbo family. GM-8 last production model for the 6.5, best of the GM turbos, good turbo for that application suffers restrictive flows at higher power, sometimes replaced by the ATT.

I Added buddies into the list, Just cut and paste my post into your original post for simplicity. I don't need credit.

TCC is missing. I'm not sure exactly what it stands for.

there is a edit time limit for non staff, this is to curtail those "hit & run posters" that will paste a troll type post & get a rukus started, then change their post in the middle of the fray acting "innocent" of being the instigator of the rukus.

Copy paste into a new post, then you'll reset the timer and I of one of the other mods can delete the one you wanted to edit but could not. Or shoot us a PM and we can make the changes for you, whichever works best for you, we generally don't edit a post, but since this one is to put together a reference material post we'll use a little more latitude for our do not edit posts rule we mods work to.

PS I added last ones Buddy contributed, plus some more I thought needed to be there.

Keep em coming folks
