The Accurides are all looking a bit tacky on all of the duallys, and I have seen some repaints, and they all look horrible, so i was wondering if anyone has a source for exact or close matching paint. If so, i would like to know.

I know some have repainted them black, but that is not my style.

Eastwood is a company that sells stuff to people for restoring cars, paint being one of their items. I get a catalog from them about twice a year should be an easy find on the web.

I figured that wheels was what you were talking about, but I was just not 100% sure if they started making anything else you might be putting on your dually. :D

Your other option is to have a color match done. Then you could have them make you up some aerosol cans. There's a couple of auto parts store where I live that can do this. So I would think that you would have that available as well.

GM Guy, if the grey is too shiney, you could always shoot some clear with a satin finish over the grey. This would also help with durability.

Or just do what I did. Find a goodyear tire dealer (or any quality tire shop), I mean the kind that semi's use and have them bead-blast them and then powder coat the rims. I cost me about $10 a rim 6 years ago. Pomps tire might works for you too - if there's one near you. Then you KNOW your getting accuride grey.

I never new Goodyear did rims! oh, and i never heard of Pomps out here in KS.

I'll check sometime with goodyear, but I like the idea of doing the eastwood wheel paint, and then putting a satin clearcoat on. DIY, so you know what has been done.

I had to go out Rockford to 'Wingfoot'. It does all the blasting/coating in house. They balance the tire (if they remount the tire) too.

Oh yeah, one other thing. If you go the powder coat route, have someone bead/sand-blast the rings as well, and have them coated also. It looks WAY better, IMO. Kind of a finishing touch.

I did this on my P30 two or three years ago still looks good.

I take it the rings were painted from factory? I thought they were bare? either way, what did you guys paint them color wise?

What about wheel simulators?

hate those with a passion! ):h

any dually we buy we take them off and throw them behind the shop. They add weight, and hold crap, which makes the rims, lugs, and studs rust. factory rims/trim packages look 10x better than simulators, imho.
