I have a 91 gmc 3500 dually 7.4. I recently had my transmission rebuilt and it ran fine for 6 to 7 month. I give it gas and it will go up to 40-45 mph and will stop accelerating like it goes in neutral. The rpms go up but the truck will not speed up and wont accelerate again until it drops down to 30 mph. Sometimes it will accelerate after 30 mph if i keep tryin to acclerate. I notice if i floor it it will go up to 80 mph most of the time. Other times it will do it again around 60 mph. I took it back to transmission shop and they said they believe its a electrical problem. I then had them put in new solinoids but no change. Ive had a few mechanics look at it and no one seems to know what to do. What is wrong with my truck?

I am not much of a trans guy at all. Give it time, there are guys here that are.

My only thing is this: Grounds. Gm has a huge history of poor grounding causing boat loads of problems. Remove all the ground wiring you can find, clean the mount and the connector to as near perfect as you can replacing connectors as needed. Make sure you have a good ground from battery to engine & body, and even take an ohm reading to the transmission body.

Do you have any codes? Keep in mind you don't have to have a service engine light on to have them.
What symptoms were you having that caused the rebuild, or was it just because you knew time was coming soon?
How hot is it getting and does it smell burnt?
