Well I finally got to the grounds after owning this Sub for more than a year. It has been a very wet rainy season and the old gal wasn´t starting up as fast as before (its never been as quick to start as my 6.2) and the glow plug cycles have been eratic. I have done all the grounds that TurboDoc showed in photos in that sticky. Oh except the strap on the firewall under the heater in hoses. I´ll get to that one when I get my new exhaust this Xmas.
So are there other grounds that I´m not seeing? Missy mentioned one at the front of the block but I couldn´t find it. I was clear on TDs photos but the shop manual printouts were lost on me and my bad eyesite.
I also noticed my passenger side battery was low as compared to the other and I wasn´t charging more than 13 on the meter in the cab.
The good news is that after the grounds cleaning its starting quicker (like before), glow plugs are cycling normally and on the test drive it was recharging at 14.

Thanks for any replys
Gus

Update-
My problems had nothing to do with the grounds. It was the alternator. Oh well at least I got around to cleaning some of the grounds.

I now have the flat Braided wire for the other grounds, I am making them on a as needed basis right now

Hey raceday where do you get the flat braided wire? Are you crimping the terminals? If so where do you get the terminals? Thanks g

lok at the good news, I swapped out a perfectly good alternator only to find out it was the battery connection. ya gotta hate that no return on electrical parts policy.
