Do people who installed this turbo still think highly of them? It's time for me to replace my GM-4 and I guess I'd like some input please :)

Also, is Turbine Doc still around? Thanks!

What do you use your truck for? Are you some where that you have to get an emissions inspection?
I think my ATT is one of the most critical mods I have done to my truck but I pull a heavy load. If I was a quarter-miler it would probably not be the best choice. If the state looks under your hood and knows what they're looking at you might not pass. My truck in Oregon is exempt from DEQ checks

I use for towing and just driving... It's a 1994 dually with 4.10... Age wise, it's exempt from emission and that detailed of inspection.

But the fact is, my turbo is going. I have to replace it with something. Is the A Team a good, reliable turbo to do it with?

If your engine is strong with minimal blow by, by all means get the A-Team along with a programmed chip.

It is a great choice for a heavy rig, and especially for towing. It really makes a big difference and make the engine feel and sound much better under load.

Gotta love the ATT

Absolutely love what the A Team Turbo and Kojo reflash have done for my big beast.

Slightly better mpg, and "pull" that seems never to quit.

Tows great, and who would have thought that the ole 6.5 could pull my 8000lb rig to 100mph at will??!!

The high pitched GM "whistle" is now replaced with a jet turbine sounding "whooosh"! If you get to 10lbs boost, hang on!

Make sure you have a free flowing exhaust (my 3" with flowmaster type muffer is marginal, but sounds awesome), no kitty, and high flowing air intake (no hot air or little cone filters)

A true bolt on (worst part is getting old one off), you'll love it!

Confuzed_Guy, PM sent and I suggest that you ask or pm people that have them installed on their truck. Satisfaction with the Turbo is my main concern, not just selling them.

It flat rocks. Take a little ride...

I hauled about 20k pounds of cows and trailer to auction today. Lightly rolling highway.

EGT's were between 700-1000 deg. F

Boost was about 5-7 psi

I maintained 60-65 mph

Okay.. Everyone seems happy with the A-Team... But is the tune necessary? I mean can I do the turbo first then add the tune later? Funds are a little tight right now :(

I f you need a turbo you can run the A Team with out a tune, you will run out of fuel before you run out of turbo. Max boost I ever had with an A-Team and factory flash was 10 psi at 2700 rpm. Exhaust would be the first. You will notice a difference even with the factory tune, but a tune will really get you the power you are looking for.

I saw a substantial improvement with the stock ECM but I was always getting it to de-fuel due to intake temps. The ATT solved that and the later addition of the Heath GLE-S for the ATT made even more improvement. Yours I believe is a mechanical IP so you wouldn't have the de-fueling problem I had. It would just kill it on a hill in order to "save" the engine. You will notice an improvement with the ATT on a hard pull, I sure did.

94 is a DS4 electronic ip

I feel like a wet blanket mentioning it ,but the soot on Veg outs back quarter panel & black smoke out his exhaust(see vid)makes me somewhat concerned about passing emissions(opacity) test. Ko Jo assured me no problems in Finland .Wondering how others have made out.

depends on how you want your tune. they can tune it so hardly any black smoke comes out

Thanks guys. Makes sense .
Has any one had snap test with ATT only, (no tune ), & how did they make out ?
I know ,I asked this question before ,& still wondering .
