Does anyone know the autozone or napa part number for the 4x4 oil filter adapter o-ring set? Need it to put the old adapter on my new block. And does anyone have any pics or can tell me how to run the ground wire from the OPS extension?

I had to run a ground wire to my fuel pressure gauge sender, which was made for SS fuel line to self ground, I ended up fixing a ground wire to the round unit with a hose clamp then to engine block. Maybe that'll get your wheels spinning?

I don't think autozone has the kit. I had to get mine from the stealer. It was $5 I think. I have heard others getting the rings from other places but I can't remember where.

On Leroys OPS extension I think it has intenal braided steel that grounds the fittings.

I just went and got a 12" grease hose and 1/4" NPT fittings on each end. I put a ring terminal with a washer to keep it tight between the grease hose 1/8" end and the adaptor to 1/4".

Yeah, this is a home made extension. Still have to buy an oil cooler setup, procrastinating due to money issues.

There is at least 3 different styles of the 90 degree oil filter adapters. I ordered a "help" kit from rock auto but it didn't have a couple of the right o-rings and didn't have the copper washer that some of the adapters use. I ended up going to the stealer and getting packed for $15 for 3 o-rings. Napa didn't have the correct kit.

Make sure you use some thread sealer, first time around I forgot on one adaptor and had to redo it. NAPA had an oil pressure switch socket on the wall that worked just right.

I used permatex thread sealer on the OPS etension. Same stuff that i used on the arp headstuds...

Hmmm, i really didnt take a good look at mine to see where the gaskets were. I just unbolted it and never got back to it....

Some trucks had the copper washer, others do not. My 95 did not call for it, but my 96 did. So im not sure what sets apart one from another. O-rings are pretty much a dealer item, if you can find them anywhere else you would be lucky.

The copper gasket goes between the Bolt unit (Hollow that hold the adapter on) and the aluminum adapter.

I have seen some without the copper. My DaHooooley did not have one when I took it part to rebuild the engine. IT DOES NOW

I had to go to Ma General for the Orings but its no big deal as the NAPA store is only 6 blocks up the street from the MA General store.

You might be able to match the Orings up from the NAPA Oring assortments they have but, I personally was not enthused about using a guess in that area.
