hey all wondering if anyone can help me diagnose this problem got into my truck to go to work as i was cranking the engine i noticed that my dome light flickered on then off not thinking anything of it i went to work when i got off of work this morning(i work nights) as i was waiting on the glow plug cycle i lost all power as if some one un hooked the battery i turned the key off then back on and everything turned back on the radio had reset itself telling me i lost total power the truck started fine after that and ran fine all the way home note that i did change the lift pump the day before if that could have anything to do with it

Suspect the ignition/power switch behind the steering lock they wear out and at times melt inside where the contacts attach, contacts even fall out within the unit and short on other inside terminals.

I have a 93 and they don't go out completely but when I first crank the truck, any lights that are on will all flicker for a little bit until it warms up. after its warm it doesn't do it.

ill check when I get back to the shop this afternoon. ive been hunting hard for the last couple months so im backed up on all my to do lists. should've done this way before now.

At least you have your priorities straight. Get all the hunting in while you are able. Hopefully that means until you are at least 90 years old or so. Not everybody is so lucky. I passed on a lot of hunts that I really regret passing on now.
