My wife don't really have much of a say in the matter cause i don't work on any other vehicle but these GM trucks.
On the other hand she likes the "private mechanic" who's at her beck and call 24/7 free of charge(sort off).
I think she can't complain about the milage either considdering she fills up from the farm bulk tank(guess who foots that bill :rolleyes5

Get it; with your experience you'll have it up & running in no time, even for part out the 4L80E and 3:733 gear sets in diffs make it worth picking up. Same truck as I have and I'm happy with mine

Buying it to part it out would be a waste of money me thinks.Not to many 6.5's left in my area.
I tried to part out the only chevy i have,i haven't sold a bolt yet around here in 3 years but a few parts here on the site
