f350 4x4 ford with 7.3 diesel with turbo. start the truck it idles fine for a couple minutes then just starts idling faster and faster and starts sputtering and then just dies. Thought maybe someone put gas in it or had air in fuel system. Not the problem. turbo seems fine. its getting fuel pressure and seems to be regulating it at throttle body system. I think the problem is the fps/ips (fuel pressure regulator sensor or maybe known as the injector pressure sensor) located on the top of the intake near the front of the engine. A guy replaced it (part cost 260 bucks)but now it dont start at all. Does he have to calibrate or tune it a certain way for it to work? Does it sound like I am trying to fix the right thing. I have never seen this problem. please help.
thnx
