ok this is what i have found so far.. only above 2400 rpm cruise then lift and as the engine is slowing down it starts acclerating on its own black smoke cant see the road behind ya.. two ways out ease back in the pedel or netural bam the engine stalls and fires right back up with a twist of key everthing normal.. WTF :???: the ops new ac delco added relay i know some of you say not needed on obd2 i beg to differ go start your truck and pull the fuel pump relay it will keep right on running and so will the lift pump/ pmd from heath under front bumper/ new lift pump ac delco.. ok now thinking i know something i slap the fuel pressure gauge on the fuel filter manager teeded into the line coming from the LP it has 3 to 6 psi riding depending on load ok.. but when the black smoke starts it drops to 2 to 3 psi.. i am thinking pmd what else can add that much fuel without a ses light or a code??? just hate throwing parts at it really needs a rebuild it has temendous blowby.. OH and no its not running on its own oil allready thought that.. pulled the hose out of the intake hose same problem..

thanks guys thought i was loosing my mind... never had one fail like this guess its time for a new grey stanadyne unit... no more aftermarket pmd's for me.. it will be a couple weeks ill let ya know the outcome when i get back from work...

Had that that happen with a flight systems/dtech pmd, mounted to the intake plenum, moved heatsync with new pmd to bumper with extension cable and havent had in problem in 3yrs

it has a heath diesel pmd on it now i put it on 3 or 4 years ago at most it only has 10,000 miles on it, but i ordered a new gray stanadyne with the proper cable to hook up to the old plug on the ip and new resistor. once again thanks!!!!!! atleast i feel like i didnt throw 245.00 at a shot in the dark.. i wont know till i get back home on the way to california in the pete...

had the book keeper aka wife pull the recipt 5 1/2 years ago yikes seems like yesterday wow i havent put any miles on it 8500 in 5 years no wonder it's pissed with me LOL...
