96 6.5 vs 07 dodge cummins dually

My brothers got an 07 dually and while we were driving home we decided to do some impromtu drags against each other. I was really expecting him to walk away and leave me standing in the dust well the rain anyway. I did better than I thought I would. Our first run started at about 20mph we both took off mine downshifted and I actually pulled ahead for a length or so. By the time we hit 60 he was about 1 1/2 lengths ahead of me. The next time we started from a stand still I did a little power braking to bring the boost up to about 3-4 psi. He chirped his tires pretty good taking off but was still only a couple of lengths ahead of me at 60. He was surprised that I could actually make black smoke out my exhaust, never could before the gl4. Makes me like the fact I didn't drop 45k on a new truck.

Honestly the O'l Six and a half is no whimp.

You running up against one of best thats out there and to do that well is not bad at all.

Maybe adjust your TM a little tighter will increase power and decrease the black smoke at WOT? Then re-match!

Black smoke was only there for a little while just the turbo lag.

If you had the set Tim has a his truck. You might of been length ahead. Tim's (TurbineDoc) truck is quick. That ATT is awesome!

Wasn't really paying attention to how much boost I was running but I suspect it was around 10-12 psi. It would be interesting to see how TDs truck would have compared.
