I have replaced the oil filter adapter gasket and seal 3 times in the past 3 months, and once again it is leaking again. The first 2 times I got the Dorman oil filter adapter gasket kit from O'Reilly's. The 3rd time I thought that maybe I should go to the Chevy dealer to get the kit, because I heard the gasket is thicker. We even put a some oil on the gasket before putting it on so the gasket wouldn't slip. Now less than a month later it is leaking again. I don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone have any ideas?

Can't say if mine would do any better, but if you need another set I do have them http://leroydiesel.com/products/4x4-adaptor-seal-kit-96-2000/

Sorry should be this kit http://leroydiesel.com/products/4x4-adapter-seal-kit-for-92-95/
does yours use the crush washer?

EDIT: just noticed you have a gasser, not sure what they use.
He's got a 5.7L, not a 6.5L. The 5.7L uses one o-ring to seal the base. What I found that normally leaks is the bolts. GM started using bolts with rubber sealed washers around 96 or so instead of copper crush washers. I normally upgrade to the newer style bolts from GM.

Possible the leak is coming from above the adapter like from the Oil pressure sender or valve covers?
