Hello everyone.
I have a 95 6.5 turbo 1500 that the service engine soon light comes on usually at a stop and then when I slow down. It seems to bog down and shoot black smoke till it boosts then the light goes out and runs great with little to no smoke. I'm at a loss with it. I've changed the pmd, and fuel pump relay. Any other ideas on what may cause this.

I have a brand new s&b intake on it all nice and tight. When I hook up to code reader says it's not sending anything from the truck.

Try the alternate method of code reading with your OBD I truck by taking a paper clip and jumping the terminals in the plug to get the SES to flash. If that doesn't work, odds are that either the ECM or the chip in it are bad. IIRC a code 52 is a malfunctioning/dead ECM.

You need to use paper clip on a 95 (OBD-I).
THERE IS NO NEED FOR CODE READER.

The direction is in the Technical Library.
