First try at start the WTS flicks on then off and I retrieve these codes 14, 31, 42, 57, 58, 62 If I override the glow plugs the engine will start. If I allow the engine to warm up the WTS will time correctly and the engine will start. Sometime if I try to cold start with the glow plug override the engine will not start until all codes are cleared, these codes are 14,18,31,42,47,57,58,62. I really would like to feel confident that this truck will start. The truck as on occasions stop will being drove sometimes it will restart in natural while roiling other times I need to cycle the key at a dead stop. I've had this truck for 12 years and its not a daily driver but I need it to be reliable. I have replaced the injector and glow plugs this winter, and relocated the PDM to the intake manifold SS Diesel kit

Hi Breeze and welcome.

Most of your codes are showing too high of engine temperatures and would not be related to hard starting. Start by removing and cleaning all your ground wires. Have you tested your glow controller? Also do the ohms to temperature test on the coolant temp sensor that send signal to the engine, not the one for the dash gauge. If manually over ride allows the gps to run long enough for a good start, then I think it is just something in the control side.

That many high heat warnings, how hot have you, or do you get it? Heat is #1 killer of these engines. Code 14 takes over 250 for 2 minutes iirc. That is definitely in damage central. Once you fix the cold start problem, consider better cooling issues. 1 problem at a time though.

Consider moving your pmd to the bumper mount, in the engine bay still has a tendency to kill them. high heat and large temperature swings is what does them in most of the time.

If you have been getting good deals/ customer service from ssdiesel, lucky you. Most of us been ripped of by them on more than one occasion and went elsewhere.

Engine has never ran hot ever, I have replaced the glow plug controller and the glow plugs and injectors this year, I also replaced the engine coolant senor the intake air sensor this year. I have cleaned the ground bolt replaced the connectors and even soldiered the wire to the connectors and even ran interconnecting wire to both battery neutral grounding bolts. I get these codes on a cold start first thing in the morning after a code clear the previous day.

Test/replace Coolant sensor on tstat crossover. I bet its FUBAR. Test new one too as Ive gotten them bad out of the box.
Does engine idle slightly higher now?

even ran interconnecting wire to both battery neutral grounding bolts

Unless these wires are as big as the battery cables this is causing more trouble than it's worth. Remove the extra battery ties(wires) from the engine ECM ground point. Imagine any resistance on the battery grounds during cranking and the likely small wires you are using will be glowing red hot. (Battery cables wick up acid and corrode internally.) Then there is the noise and other issues to consider.

Big 3 ground kits are good, but, NOT to the ECM ground bolt! If you did use large gauge wire it still needs to be moved.

Stalling while running is a bad connection or loss of fuel. Fuel: Plugged fuel filter/plugged tank sock/kinked fuel line... Electrical: PMD and wire extension harness, as you have a bunch of codes also any loose grounds or other bad connections or shorting sensors...

No I did not test new parts. First start of the day is what I call a cold start. Note on a 78°F ambient day the first start of the day the WTS lasts around 12-15 seconds truck starts great. the next morning first start of the day at 45°F ambient the WTS 1-2 seconds and no start.
