So on my new plow truck I want to remove the egr vac pump etc. I have a 94 k2500 for a parts truck. What info do I need to know if these will swap?

Off the 1500 it reads
serv no 16183977 BMRL
86BMRLM442420206
16209945 BMRL
86BMRLM442420206

Off the 2500 it reads
serv no16183977 BJAX
86BJAX M310482484
16196945 BJAX
86BJAXM310482484

Do I need to open it up and get eprom #s?

You will need to put on a TM,other than that deleting the EGR and VAC pump might or may not trigger the ses light.IMO,i would keep the ECM of the 1500.

Those EPROMs are not interchangeable. BJAX is for a 5068 IP. If you open the PCM and someone already swapped the EPROM for a 5067/5521 compatable IP then you would be OK. If you open it up I'll let you know if its good. If it still has a 5068 IP on it, and it is working not bad to keep the EPROM with it in case you want to install it later. Or you can swap the IP and EPROM to the 1500.

The PCMs are interchangeable, just not the EPROMs. If you need an F vin chip to delete the EGR I can send you one to try.

BMSD is also for 5068 IPs, just updated version. BJAX was programmed in 93, and service manual had technician update it to the one programmed in 94.
