I have located a 94 K2500HD f-code auto, runs good, $1,800.00 (will try and haggle as much as possible, thinking $1500 is not out of the question). I want to buy it to junk out and put the motor into my C3500HD f-code 5spd. I was wondering if it will swap over w/o changing anything but replacing the flexplate w/ the flywheel? I would like it to plug and bolt in, no swapping stuff.

Anyone know if it can be done?

Thanks!

Should work just fine, only difference would be the oil filter adaptor.

You plan to leave IP in place? The check the IP model, if it is a 5068 on the 94 it wont work correctly with your PCM's chip and the one in that truck wont work right in your truck, since its an auto. as long as it has a 5067, 5521, 5288, anything but 5068 and youre fine.

The 5068 would work just fine, but not with the electronics you have. It uses different programming from the EPROM in the PCM. The tranny type should be the same when swapping EPROM, otherwise things will be funky.

It might not be a 5068 at all, just have to check.
