got a 93 chevy truck extended cab short bed 350 4x4. full of power but not enough truck.
looking to eather find a extended cab long bed to swap or add on to the chasis i have already. any suggestions?
i know just doing a swap is alot faster but my truck is a 1500 but my chasis is actualy out of a 2500 already. that was done a while ago.
id realy like to just find a extended cab long bed chasis because i can clean it up and start a frame off restoreation without having to fart around with my truck right away. if anyone knows anyone that has one please let me know. I ONLY NEED CHASIS. AND NOTHING ELSE. I work at a parts store so im going to replace everything else. i would like to come accrost a nice set of bucket seats though. thanks guys
 
IMO, just buy another truck. The motor will swap but 1500's have 4l60E tranny LIGHT DUTY the 2500 has a 4L80E HEAVY DUTY. 2500 axles are stronger front and rear. There are alot of things to consider, buy a frame and you still have 1500 axles and tranny.
 
I wouldn't trust the "parts store" parts any further than I could push them uphill with 4 flat tires. I would look at your returns before going that route. Sometimes the paint plugs the threads on an otherwise junkyard sourced part. Sometimes the junkyard has more life left in the part than the poor quality made in China clone or worn out sloppily done rebuild. New parts don't mean good parts.
