I Am Going To Swap Cabs ON 6.5 WitH One From A Gasser. ThE Interior Of The Gasser CaB Is In Great Shape With No Need To Dismantle The Dash WithTheException That The Harness Is Different BetweenThe6.5 And Gasser. Does AnybodyKnowForSure. I Know Some Things Are DifferentLike A Glow Plug Indicator Vs No GlowPlugIndicator.Sorry For The Serial Killer Typing But The Smart Phone Is Not Being So Smart Right Now.

Serial Killer Typing.. lol

James? (MadMax) :)

Ummm, wiring is not all that hard to swap. Cab sheetmetal is same/ swapable.

Gotta do the gauge cluster so may as well do the rest.. IMO.

The tach wiring will also be different. And the wiring to the ECM is definately different. Best bet to avoid hair pulling issues is to swap the dash harness with it.

TBI wires vs PMD wires. Glow plug control. Fuel pump. Tach from dist vs. alt. You will be chasing a lot of differences just for the engine wiring.

Isnt it all one big harness under there that goes from one side of the dash to the other and then into the doors and overhead for the rear? Or does it disconnect at the dash and the doors and further back stuff become separate?

I believe there is a bulkhead conenctor at the firewall on the drivers side. The wiring to the ECM comes through the firewall as well as the power to the blower motor. There will also be some wiring on the passenger side for the water in fuel and low coolant modules that the gasser will not have.
