6.5 temp sensor question

So I pulled my 6.5 turbo motor and replaced the bad head gasket. Unfortunately due to several reasons the motor was out for a month and a half and my memory was a little fuzzy when I went to put it back together. It is all back together and sounds great but I have a sending unit that I can't find a plug for. My temperature gauge does not work and I think it has to do with the sensor on the rear of the passenger side head not being plugged in. I have been over the wiring harness several times and can't seem to find the plug lead. Can anyone tell me where the plug wire comes from? I'm pretty sure the truck had one when I pulled the motor and now I'm going crazy trying thttp://www.dieseltowingresource.com/images/smilies/confused.gifo find it?

What year? have a pic of the sensor? I cant find on mine what you mean

you can do one of two things,

1 remove the pipe plug in the front of the drivers side head and install a new sensor, about $12

2 cut the wires and splice in some extentions, cheaper but bor work

look on the drivers side front! you put the heads on the wrong side.
I would second this. My advice is to get a new sending unit for the left head, there should be a square head plug where the sending unit fits. You could use the original one now on the right head, but its a real pain to reach it with a turbo installed. Much easier to just install a new one where it belongs.

x2 sensor for gauge should be front side of driver side head.
