6.5 TD tool box

how much maint. you plan on doing yourself, IP wrenches (make or buy), vac/press gage, load cell for checking batteries, scan tool so you can see real time what is happening (can be optional), spare FSD.

Your sig rite ??? S engine 2500 with 4:10s ??? I'll bet it was a Canada/Kaliforniva destined build, with tight emission laws that does not allow for a LD 6 lug truck to be classed as a 1500, 3:73 is the normal config S 6 lug truck, same reason no more 1500 trucks now with Diesel, only way to get past legislation is to class them as HD trucks now.

Not exactly a toolbox item, but books. You can never have enough books. You can buy them off Helm and eBay for various prices. The real GM ones aren't cheap, but are life savers and you can never have enough books. I still want to get an OBD-II book, then I'll be happy (for now).

Was it 95 that started the fuse panel on driver fender well? Anyway for those a piece of wire in your tool box to jump your LP relay.

92-94 can jump LP by touching LP fuse to one of the powered studs on fire wall.

got a piece 12ga wire about 4' long that has ford computer pins at both ends, will this do?

ordered some original GM books from ebay, don't recall off the top of my head.

All of it, everything I can.

spare FSD. Got one, first thing I did after I read about its problems

According to the VIN it was manufactured in Oshawa Ontario. The original owner was from California and bought it there, he moved here 10 years ago. I need to pick your brain sometime about specs. It was originally manufactured with 3.73. the OO had 4.10's put in it 1 week (got the receipt in the glove box) before trading it in for a 3500 Crew Cab Fat Back with a duramax. then it sat at the dealer/farmer I got it from for nearly a year before I traded my 351 for it.

This may already be a given but, I never leave the house with out duck tape! I actually carry 100 mile and hour tape, the Army's version of duck tape.

4:10s after the original buy, you'll need to let Bill or whomever know this when you rechip, as by VIN it will load wrong gears in the program and impact the flash a bit, if you don't need to be S configuration, handy mod would be to go with F complete intake system.

Since yours is a 94 you wont need the wire, just touch the fuse to the stud. Like in the second picture above. If you look at the top of the fuse where it gives the amp rating you can see the metal part of the fuse is exposed, so just touch that part to 12v and the LP will fire up (if its working)
Makes it nice when bleeding the FM.

Buddy has another way, but I forget.

I was going to ask you about this, I have read somewhere that you did it and now I can't find the link. guessing I should do this before the re-flash?

is it really as simple as bolting on the "F" manifold? if the Vac pump is only needed for the wastegate (getting an ATT) and the EGR can I then run an Air compressor in its place?
