I have a 94 6.5 cc lwb 2wd and was goin to put it in a 96 cc long dually 4x4 that already has a 6.5. Is it a direct replacement or r there things that need to be done? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the replys. My 94 has the gm screw up of the ip that has been replaced 2 times. once on them and once on us. with it being obd 1 and obd 11 will the ecm's need to be replaced or can i just order one from heath and tell them what i am doin and they can program accourdingly?

You should be able to use the stock OBDII computer from the '96 with its matching IP. You can also order one from Bill Heath. If you have a choice, give Bill Heath a call and order one from him.

Can only help to call Bill Heath and talk to him. He may be able to offer you other tips for your project that can save you time and money. One of the best 6.5 minds to pick.

As long as it's not the 5068 ip it's a drop in. Use all the 96 wiring[no filter harness on the optical sensor].

The alternator and A/C are on different sides so it looks different when looking at it, but as long as youre just tranfererring the accessories and brackets its all good.
