6.5 number decode (new user help)

i recently got a 95 chevy 1 ton 6.5 somebody ran gas through it and had to replace the motor with a new dealer motor.:rolleyes5: ok my question is what is the year of my motor, heres the number off the block 10237141
not sure what year they replaced it but i would think they used a newer block

my 96 has a 141. Are you sure it's a new motor? Gas won't usually destroy a motor unless you really drive it a long time, been there IPs and injs might be diff

that is what they said but im the 3rd owner and the story might be wrong.

yeah they had some relays marked like they had it out, maybe an older motor?
