6.5 engine builder, anyone have experience with them?

I used Promar (in NJ) for a longblock. Reman block and brand new meatier heads. Also came with 3 yr 75k warranty for $3500.

No tin or accessories. Worked for me!!

I used Diesel Depot, good experience, good service.

I went with the 6.2/6.5 hybrid, coated pistons. I don't regret the decision! :)

I dont know if anyone has gotten a bad engine from dieseldepot. My personal conversations with Jamie there leads me to believe he is extremely competent in 6.2/6.5 blocks, metalurgy and machining. He built up both Heath's land speed racer engine and 635's high powered engine. He will do any custom work you can think of at a reasonable price.

I know some members had some issues getting in touch with him about piece parts, but dont know if anyone has been disappointed with his actual engine rebuilds.

I am very satisfied with the build Diesel Depot did for me. My recent trip and very high constant rpm's did prove to be a very strong engine. This trip was sort of a break in trip. Jamie is hard to get hold of with the hours he works but you can always call Avant Salvage and talk with Benny, Jamie's Dad.

Using the propane and wmi along with high rpm's worked out real good.

Well over 9,000 pounds on the trip and it really 'Hauled the Mail'!

Hmmm, Sounds interesting...3yr and/or 75k...whichever comes first?

At any rate, that sounds good...Do you have any other details, like what kind of block you got, or is it a 6.2-6.5 hybrid?
