6.2 turbo spool vs 6.5?

You wont even notice a thing. The tiny difference wont show a power change either.

Back in the early days when Banks was turboing the 6.2 and then GM offered the 6.5 turbo, the Banks setup routinely made better power too.

If you use the GM turbo on the 6.2 you will need to use the 6.5 heads as the injector angles are different to allow things to clear the manifold and turbo.

Also the injector lines and the injectors must match too so it will all fit together.

If you use a 92-93 DB2 4911 Injection pump and the matching lines along with the 6.5 heads, you will be off to the rodeo.

Will any turbo work?? A team? anyone know?
(sorry for the hijack)

As long as you get good exhaust flow to the turbo it wont care.

Keep it as neat and clean as possible with good in and out on the turbo and it will fly.

Not all turbos will work well on these engines. You need one that is sized for the Cubic inches of the engine as well as the amount of air it will move.

An aftermarket turbo for a 6.5 will work just fine on a 6.2.

The latitude is fairly broad in this area. Keeping the turbine size correct so that the exhaust flow will spin the unit correctly without a huge lag is important.

The Banks turbo that was used back in the early days of the 6.2 was sized so that it was self limiting as far as boost goes without the need for a wastegate.

This system was fine and worked real well. Easy to install without any real hastles.

Turn the pump up a tad (intructions were clear on this) and enjoy.

Have fun

I am either using an HX35, HE351VE or BW S200.

If I used the HE351VE, I'd hook the vanes up to a cable IE like an old choke cable and then I could adjust the vanes on the fly,
