Would a 6.2 Humvee engine fit on a 1996 6.5 ?

AFAIK, yes, but I suddenly have a doubt about that, especially about oil lines, turbo oil feed, converter mounts, etc...

I've been searching, but didn't find out precisely

Short block will fit fine but I believe you have to swap everything else.

If the hummer engine is n/a it should be the same heads as truck heads. Depending on the age the hummer flexplate may be needed.[1 piece verses 2 piece rear main seal. oil pan and pickup are different too.
