last tuesday evening i got stuck in the field a ml from home with my old 89. Pulled it out with the tractor next morning.I was gonna get it as soon as i could get a ride to it. I got the ride last night,:shiiiiiite:Truck was still idling.I must have forgot to shut it off
that is 3 days and 3 nights [65 hrs] .Just enough diesel left to drive to the farm yard tank.
Engine dont seem to be the worse for wear.

That's hilarious.... At least it was still running so it wasn't out of fuel/batteries stone dead!
Yes, BUUUTTT. I tried starting it this morning,and just heard the starter wine. investigation revealed the stupid starter was just hanging on the wires with the nose cone still in the bellhousing.:wtf:
You go figure , the bracket is still on the starter, but both the long and the small bolts are missing. I never heard anything un usual when starting before,to indicate things needed attention.

And honest to God,i was/am sober as a judge. i must have had a sometimer.
