Trying to get all my filters ordered and reading threads I see 700 CFM as a figure for air requirement with a 6.5 turbo. Now looking up the air filter for my 6.2N/A in Wix its a46096 and its rated a a whole whopping huge 80 CFM with the wrap on it. Seems like my Mini Bike back in the 70s needed more air than that!!!! The unwraped version is 42096 and it is at 345 CFM!!!! The racing version is rated at 600 CFM!!! What is going on and which filter should I use????? I have a improved homemade air ram forcing air into my breather. Thanks.

I had one of the wrapper filters, and boy oh boy did that engine smoke like crazy. The wrap got filthy really fast. I bought a non-wrapped version and the smoke cleared up quite a bit.

I've been running the non-wrapped once ever since.

Honestly i'd look into an Amsoil Nano-Fiber filter if you plan on staying N/A for a while. The filters are good for 100,000 miles, and will both outflow and out filter a conventional paper filter. Synthetic media does have it's advantages, even if the Amsoil filter is around $50 and the paper filters go for $5-$10.

I"ll be getting an Amsoil "universal" cone filter at some point after i find out if this thing is actually driveable and won't make me deaf.
