6.0 runs rough at start up until warm... help!

I have a 2003 F-250 with a 6.0. It runs fine when warmed up, however when I start it up first thing in the morning it run rough and smokes. Has almost no power either. After about 3-5 minutes after engine temp gauge shows temp. it runs fine, no problems. Any ideas?

Go see your local Ford dealer and ask them to reflash the FICM, There's a TSB just for that concern.

How much $ would you think that would cost? I am a little paranoid about dealers and also out of work at the moment.

A TSB should be free. Is your Diesel still under warranty?
