I'm about ready to throw it through the window, it says it needs to be restored but when i do it it comes up with an error message and won't complete it. My ipod is useless and their tech support is worthless. If i don't get this resolved i'm not buying apple products again. Antbody else had this problem?

have you done a search on the web as to hard restore ipod?

Yeah I was ready to throw it in the trash. I downloaded Rockbox and installed it. I'll never go back to stupid iTunes. Look up rockbox.org

fifth gen 80g ipod purchased in march. yes, i can't seem to get it to work.

I know that you said that you have already contacted the tech support, but have you been to one of their stores?

I have the Itouch ipod. Sure hopes I don't have that issue

I got my wife a new one last year and you cant see the screen any more and I cant get her to go to the ipod store and stand in line, she is kind of opposed to waiting (for anything).

Apples stores ususally have a concierge service. You login and just wander around until they call your name....

well got there, plugged it in and it worked, go figure. I did hard resets, restores, etc... I guess having the battery die fixed it.

never knew you could do that, complete diagnostic. x2 on the music, i had Dierks Bentley playing, much better.
