My Service 4WD light occasionally comes for a while and then will go out when I shut down and restart the truck. I have had it in 4WD maybe 5 times in 4 years. Is it just a matter of draining and filling the trans case? I just went over 200k about 3 weeks ago so it may be due because of mileage. What do you guy's think?

it's not a reminder light for fluid change. Something is wrong in the electrical side of things most likely. Should have a code stored, probably will need a tech2 to pull it.

Could be the shift switch on the T-case is faulty or maybe the wires are chafing each other right at the switch where there is no loom
