4" exhaust options for the Tahoe?

I have been searching on the the net...

Looks like 3 options for a 4" exhaust

1) SSDiesel with SS tip delivered for about $425ish exits in front of rear wheel

2) Heath $500ish delivered

3) Have a shop custom bend a 4" system $$$ who knows?

Any other options out there or experiences to share?

The only 4" exhaust option I actually found for the Tahoe was to drive to Minnesota for a custom Heart Throb Exhaust. I'm pretty sure that is the brand - It's the same brand SSdiesel Supply sells for sure.

I ended up with a custom 3" mandrel bent system from Joliet, Illinois North of Route 30 and and east of route 55. Near Larkin I think.
The guy did a couple of things that ticked me off. He used steel clamps on a stainless steel exhaust. And he left a nut off the glow plug heat shield when he ran the downpipe.

Were those 4" exhaust options specifically for a Tahoe?

When I did the Tahoe, I couldn't find anything specifically for a Tahoe.
 
I had a 99 Tahoe gasser. It's hard to believe that it is that much diff. basically the same platform. I would think it could be modded
 
It's gonna get me buy for now...

Well I just dropped a whopping $40 bucs to have the trap cut out & a 3" pipe welded in. It ran good with the trap on there, the trap screen was not full of chit pretty clean, but you could not see any light through it. I really did not like the idea of that screen in my exhaust.

The twin tail pipes will be next to go...prolly gonna have the same shop OxBo muffler in Joliet run the 3" all the way out the back after these duals rot off.

I Don't think for the time being I did too bad for 40 bucs :thumbsup:

You might try tvdiesel(dot)com. They have the Diamond Eye 4" turbo back exhaust kit for the Suburban. Maybe that kit could be cut down for the Tahoe. I got their kit for the K2500/3500 pickup. The curved pieces were pre-bent and you just cut the straight pieces to the length needed. I'm not familiar with the Tahoe or Suburban but I'd think that there would not be much difference from the pickup to the Suburban to the Tahoe.

Seems to me Aces had a 4" on his Tahoe
