i am i need of a contact for some vinyl wrap. i was looking into it for my trailer and some advertising and a light bulb went off in my head. i figure i could get some say 2' x 7' sheets printed black and cover my bumpers with it. the way i am looking at it is, after 9 months the paint i did looks like crap, if i wrap them and they dont hold up i could replace the vinyl much easier than painting every year.

i called one company in texas and they did not want to have anything to do with it. they tried selling me there bedliner material. not what i want. they do small jobs on alot of vehicles i see around here i.e. just rear windows or tail gates so i dont think the size of the material is an issue. just need to find someone who can get it for me.

What are you looking to cover exactly? A whole trailer?

I would recommend the Oracal vinyl over 3M.

I can get you what you need.

the trailer is a yes on the whole thing. we wanted to do the black with the business name and logo.

my truck is the chrome parts of the bumper.

Vinyl wrap isn't a easy process. Especially on a trailer, as most have the rivits you have to contour over, etc.

I would recommend contacting Oracal.com and see if they can refer you to someone in your area. Meanwhile I'll try on a sign forum I'm on to see if anyone in your area does this. Of course, unless you want to do it yourself?

If you wrap it yourself I could cut the Logo and Names, but it you go the wrap option you can have it digitally printed($$$).

i googled "vehicle wraps in ct" and found a bunch of business near me that do it. i got quotes from 2500-2700 so far. i did no think it was to bad considering the amount of vinyl. i would not try the trailer myself, sheets are to big. i am really more concerned about the bumper stuff now though. those i would do myself.

on a side note jeff, i set up to have the forum email me when a reply was posted and it isnt working? any thoughts?

I haven't had any luck for recommendations.

Anyone who does it should treat you ok. It takes so much money to get into the wrapping business they should have some sense of what they are doing.

I would see about their previous jobs and how they look.
