I got the Lows & Fogs installed this evening on my brothers Camaro. Now, Retro sent me a capacitor as he says it's needed for the GM models to reduce -Buzzing, Flickering, Etc..

So, dump question:

Does this go inline with the hot lead to the battery?

I have relay James. Everything is working ok but there is a buzzing sound for about 5 seconds for the passenger side box. The Capacitor is just like the picture attached with a red and black wire coming out of it, it's all heat shrinked together.

Interesting.

I dunno? Usually the Cap is Tied into the Relay Harness so you don't have to do it Yourself.

E-Mail Retro and Ask Him where you Tie it in.

Well, I've about had it with HID's.. I'll never be putting a set in my truck simply because I can't find them reliable enough and headlights are one thing you MUST have. After a new harness from Retro they both work again. He had the passenger side go off for a bit the other night since the new harness... That lifetime warranty they have has sure came in handy..

Are the HID's for the 2011's trucks different than the HID's for a 2006? I have not had any problems at all with the HID kit that I got from James. They are bright white, and work flawlessly. The install is pretty easy and straight forward, as long as you hook up the positive and negative correctly! ;)

Other than taking about 45 seconds to a minute to come up to full white light, I love mine. I think alot of it has to do with the newer cars as the BCM looks for bulbs out, and the addition of HID bulbs screws with the system.

That's a LONG Time to come Up to Brightness.

Mine are "there" in a matter of Seconds.

Different bulbs I'm sure. Maybe I'll come around to them.. right now I just have a bad taste for them is all. No doubt they look and perform 100x better, I just need to find the reliability of a stock bulb.

There the ones I bought from you last year of the leftovers you had. They are pretty bright in a few seconds, but take almost a minute to where they get up to full brightness and lose the blue tint to them and go fully white.

Gotcha. So the Brightness is there, but the Color Hangs around for a lil bit? That's Normal.
