2004 Fog Light Addition

My 04 came without fogs from the factory. Has anyone ever added factory fogs ? I have heard the truck is prewired , just need the fogs , switch , and plug in the relay. Any help would be much appreiciated.

I'm pretty sure the Trucks aren't Wired for Fogs, Outside of the Cab. The Connector might be in the Dash for the Button, but I'm pretty sure, they aren't Wired through the Engine Bay. They might be though.

If you need a Set of Fogs, I got a barely Used Set off my Truck. No Chips, Scratches, nothing Wrong with them.

Iirc the bcm needs a reflash and it is not wired. Atleast the ones I have added were not.

Did you use a kit? If so,what kit did you use? I would like to incorporate a factory switch if possible

IIRC the factory switch is expensive, I had a 99 silverado that I installed factory fogs on and just wired them myself with an aftermarket switch. You could shop around for a nice round rocker that would fit in the factory location if you are concerned about the looks. I know I read at one time about how to use some of the exisitng OEM wiring for the fogs, I believe it was expensive to do and did require a reflash of the BCM to make it work. If you wire them yourself you could also make them come on automatically with your high beams.

theres a kit on ebay for about $150,it comes with a new set of fog lights,a lower panel already cut out for fog light,a new headlight switch,a relay for the under-hood fuse box,and a single wire that goes from the fuse box down to the fog lights,then you need to ground each light,,,but look on the lower light harness some guys have found the fog light wires taped up to it,,this is an easy job you can scrounge up most of the parts,,and the 4 Ive done ''do not ''need the bcms reprogrammed
