Ok i need tires sometime but might wait til winter. My prob is that it has 265/75/16 now but i am thinking of 285's. the thing is that I plow snow in the winter and really don't want alot of issues with the 1000lb plow on. My t-bars are cranked now and the truck looks good with 265 but i have seen trucks with 285 and they look awesome. Will 285 be too big for plowing this winter. pics would be great to see maybe with the plows on the front as well.

What brand you lookin at? I got my BF's from Chaney Tire in the city.

Get a block for the rear and crank your t-bars up. Trim a little bit and you shouldnt have a problem...<---I'm a lot of help arent i? ):h

you have no plow sandboy, lol your truck is the one i referring to looking good but you are a girl and moved away from the cold and have no plow.

I'm a big vagina now, yes. And it saddens me deeply that I dont have to call you anymore to plow my driveway for me and to help me get my car out thats been buried for 2 months...):h

i have the 285 BFG A/T's on mine, with an 8"-6" diamond. when they first went on, i had the t-bars turned up a little bit, and it kinda did the trimming for me. it wasnt too much, and looks fine. now i have the bars all the way up, and have no issues. and i have to say, they are by far the best tire i have had on my truck in the snow, but the only downfall is they cant be studded. i dont have a sander yet for the bed, but i fill 5 gallon buckets full of sand/salt mix, and put 16 of them in the bed over the axle, and have 0 complaints. my uncle plows too, and has 5 trucks of his own, and swears by the skinny tire. he has cooper S/T studded, with full sanders in the back of every truck. i cant say a bad word about them either.

i have a few pics in my album with them on the truck. not that great, but a pic nonetheless

265's will do better for snow/ice on the roads but the 285's look better. For plowing you may want to stick with a 265 but 285's will work.

Plow up with 285s on. TBars adjusted and Timbren load boosters installed.

How much do you plow? Is it just a couple driveways or are you doing it all night? 285's will work. It depends on if you want to sacrifice a little better traction for looks. Otherwise look into doing 2 sets of tires. One for winter and one for the other 3 seasons. If you were to get a winter specific tire there are some real good ones out there.
