i just cked a buddys 2007 duramax 2500hd truck and im getting a dtc-po741 code [torque conv sliping] he has a good take-out converter from a 2001 2500hd duramax can i use that ??
 
Truck is not under warranty? You can use it but I would check the fluid, if its contaminated you might need more than just a converter swap......
 
no truck has a salvage/rebuilt title,fluid looked ok,2001 conv was 1000 mile unit [changed due to trans warrenty,case leaked]
