1/2 ton 4X4 front shock will not fit correctly. The bottom bolt on the front shock is lose. Two types of shock have been attempted, Gabriel and Monroe. Just a noisy sound while driving but, not when you pull on it with your hand. Anybody know how to fix this?

The factory shocks are bad but, does not make the same noise.

I have a Dodge with the same front end; the flanges on the axle that the shock bolt goes through may be spread a little, or if the old shock was loose it could have squished the bolt a little (mine did). I got a new bolt and pried the brackets inward a little, all good now.
